Acceptable Use Policy

Remove Background From Video ("we", "us"), operated by Wang Wei (王维), an individual independent developer based in China, removes the background from video clips with AI. This policy covers everything that goes through the service: the videos you upload and the results we produce. It is part of our terms of service. Questions: support@removebackgroundfromvideo.org.

AI model we use

Every result on this site is produced by one model: Bria Video Background Removal v3, made by Bria AI. We run it through fal.ai, an AI model hosting platform, and your uploaded clip is sent to fal.ai for processing. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Bria AI or fal.ai. If we add or change a model, we update this page first.

Prohibited content

You must not upload or create any of the following with the service:

1. Illegal content and infringement. Illegal material of any kind, or videos, footage, characters, artwork, logos or brands you do not own or have permission to use.
2. Pornography and sexual content (NSFW). Adult pornography, sexually explicit material and sexual activity, as well as sexual content involving minors or anything that exploits or endangers children. Adult consent does not make pornography permissible on this service.
3. Violence and gore. Violent or graphic content, including bloodshed, mutilation, torture, graphic injury, or content that promotes or glorifies violence.
4. Hate speech and discrimination. Content that incites hatred, dehumanizes, threatens, or promotes discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
5. Non-consensual intimate content. Intimate images or video of a person who has not agreed to their creation, editing or sharing.
6. Harassment, impersonation and deception. Including deepfakes of real people without their consent, or presenting edited video as real footage in order to mislead.

Zero tolerance

We immediately remove the content, close the account, keep no refund, and where the law requires it report to the authorities when content involves:

• Sexual content involving minors.
• Non-consensual intimate content.
• Deepfakes of real people made to harass, defraud or deceive.

Other prohibited conduct

• Using the service for fraud, spam or harassment.
• Scraping or reselling the service, or trying to disrupt it.
• Trying to get around our checks, for example by re-uploading removed content.

Your uploads and privacy

Results are private. They are only visible to the person who made them, through their account or the browser session they used. There is no public gallery on the site.

How we handle content

We do not review every upload in advance. We act on reports, and we may review content and account activity where we suspect a breach of this policy, fraud or abuse. We may remove content, refuse a request, or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

Reporting content

If you see content made with Remove Background From Video that breaks this policy, or content that uses your likeness or your work without permission, please report it.

• Email: support@removebackgroundfromvideo.org, with "Content report" in the subject.
• Include, if you can: a link to the content or where you saw it, and what is wrong with it. Do not send copies of illegal material: describe it and tell us where it is.

We keep the reporter's identity confidential and do not share it with the person reported. Every report is reviewed on its merits. Reports that are knowingly false or abusive may lead to action against the reporting account.

What happens after a report

1. Received. We confirm receipt by email.
2. Review. A person checks the content and the report.
3. Decision and action. We take one of the actions below.
4. Reply. We tell the reporter the outcome. If an account owner is affected, we tell them too, with the reason.

Reports involving children, non-consensual intimate content or deepfakes are handled first, and the content may be disabled while we review it.

Enforcement

Depending on how serious the violation is, we may:

• Delete the video and the results.
• Warn the account owner.
• Suspend or permanently close the account, and block new purchases from it.
• Withhold refunds of credits spent on prohibited content.
• Report the content to law enforcement where required, and keep the related records as the law requires.

Appeals

If you think we acted on your content or account by mistake, email support@removebackgroundfromvideo.org with "Appeal" in the subject within 30 days. Someone who did not make the first decision reviews it, and we reply with the outcome.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
